Dr Azhar Abdullah has 20 years of experience in Internal Medicine and more than 10 years of specialist practice in Rheumatology. He is trained in the United Kingdom and Ireland and has worked as a Consultant in leading NHS hospitals in Scotland, United Kingdom, and also established a growing private practice at Ross Hall Hospital and Lanarkshire Private Clinic in Glasgow, Scotland.
Dr Azhar Abdullah completed his specialist training in Rheumatology and Internal Medicine through the West of Scotland Deanery (Certificate of Completion of Training, CCT UK) in 2021. He has extensive experience of managing a wide range of rheumatological, autoimmune, and complex medical conditions in both outpatient clinics and inpatient hospital settings, delivering patient-centred and evidence-based care.
Dr Abdullah has held senior academic roles at University of Glasgow and serves as an examiner for MRCP examinations for the Royal College of Physicians. He has presented his research work at national and international rheumatology conferences and has reviewed local and regional biological treatment pathways. His procedural skills include performing musculoskeletal ultrasound, joint and soft tissue injections.
